Along with an interdisciplinary team of nurse practitioners, nurses, chaplains, social workers and pharmacists I provide care to patients with severe and life-limiting medical conditions. I aim to understand patient symptoms and sources of distress and co-create a plan to reduce their suffering. I also help patients, their families and medical teams to understand what is most important to the patient as they deal with their illness and its treatment and what their values are so that the treatment plan lines up with what is most important for the patient and respects their wishes.
