Allow extra time to reach the Clinics and Surgery Center
The Clinics and Surgery Center (CSC) is located on the campus of the University of Minnesota. Your itinerary gives you a visit arrival time. Please give yourself extra time to navigate university traffic, arrive at the CSC, park and check in for your appointment.
For the best parking options, enter the CSC valet/arrival plaza from Fulton Street where attendants can assist you.
Valet parking: We encourage patients and visitors to use convenient valet parking service at the CSC. Enter the main valet/arrival plaza from Fulton Street. Valet cost is a $6 flat rate fee, regardless of your length of visit. Tips are not expected.
Valet parking hours: Valet parking is available:
- Monday – Friday, from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. (vehicles are accepted until 8 p.m. and returned until 9 p.m.
- Saturday – Sunday, 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (vehicles are accepted until 2:30 p.m. and returned until 3:30 p.m.
If you need a vehicle returned after these hours, follow the posted instructions at the first floor parking and valet services desk, or ask a concierge staff member to help.
Self-parking: Self-parkers who chose to park in the Oak Street ramp should enter the ramp at the Ontario Street SE entrance (one block north of the CSC main entrance). Do not enter the ramp from Oak Street – this entrance is not staffed and is further from the CSC main entrance.
At the Ontario Street entrance, use the center lane designated “M Health” and park on the ground level of the ramp in patient-only spots. These spots are reserved for patients and designated by a white sign that reads “Patient Parking”. Please disregard the numbering. As you leave your appointment at the CSC, bring your parking ticket to the first floor parking and valet services desk to pay for parking and receive a reduced hourly rate.
When Oak Street ramp sign reads: FULL or Reservations Only: If you are self-parking in the Oak Street ramp, using the Ontario Street entrance, and the ramp sign reads ”FULL” or “reservations only” just pull into the center lane designated “M Health” and inform the parking attendant that you are coming to the CSC for an appointment. There are reserved spots in the ramp for our patients. The booth is staffed, but at times, you may have to press the call button on the box to reach the attendant.
ADA parking spaces
Parking spaces are available for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-eligible patients. Spaces are available in the surface parking lot, or West lot, directly across from the CSC main entrance on Ontario Street. Let a valet attendant at the CSC valet/arrival plaza or outside the West lot know that you are ADA eligible and they will give you access to the lot. You will receive a parking ticket on your way in which can be self-paid at your exit.
Discounted valet parking rates for long-term parkers: Patients and visitors who make frequent visits to the CSC can save time and money by purchasing a parking pass that can be used for valet parking at the center. Passes are for valet parking only and cannot be used for self-parking at the CSC or the Oak Street ramp. For more information, see a representative at the CSC first floor parking and valet services desk. Parking pass options are:
- Weekly pass: $26, valid for seven consecutive days from date of purchase.
- Monthly pass: $59, valid for 31 consecutive days from date of purchase.
- Maroon pass: $20, users can enter and exit parking facilities five times. There is no timeframe for use.
Notice: Monday-Friday, between 7-9 a.m., parking in metered spots on Fulton Street near the CSC is not permitted. Your car will be at risk of being towed during this time.
For questions or concerns with your parking experience, ask for a valet services supervisor or manager.
