On Thursday, Braylon Holmon sat thoughtfully on his bed, trying to decide which superpower he’d prefer to have. After a few moments, he spoke up.
“I’d want my power to be speed, super speed, so that I could win races,” Braylon said.
Braylon, a University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital patient, was one of many celebrating Superhero Day 2016. The annual event at the hospital is a chance to recognize the heroes among us, including our patients and their families—and the hospital staff who care for them.
Dozens of caped crusaders—many of them volunteers—took over the hospital lobby to take photos with patients and family, play games, dance and participate in a handful of other activities.
