Our interventional cardiology program was one of the first in the nation, in 1986, to use angioplasty to rapidly reopen heart arteries in patients having heart attacks. This procedure has since become standard therapy for heart attacks around the world. In addition, we offer investigational trials for aortic valve therapy, mitral valve therapy, and atrial septal defect closures.
In addition, our Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) program integrates multiple disciplines to provide a revolutionary treatment for patients with inoperable aortic stenosis. More than 500 patients have successfully received this therapy since the program began in 2012, giving patients a chance at a new life.
