University of Minnesota Health Cancer Care is one of the largest gynecologic cancer programs in the Midwest. Our nationally recognized team of gynecologic oncologists, radiation oncologists, advanced practice providers and support staff work as a team to provide patients with leading-edge cancer care, using the latest and most advanced treatment approaches. Our team meets regularly to discuss each patient's treatment, routinely seeking the advice and opinions of our partners within and outside our program.
A center of excellence
Our program is at the forefront of gynecologic treatments and therapies, and has achieved among the highest five-year cancer survival rates, as determined by the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics. We’re also designated as a National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health by the Office of Women’s Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
A diagnosis of gynecologic cancer can impact many areas of a patient’s life. We provide opportunities for patients to gain emotional and personal support as they navigate through cancer treatment. We provide educational seminars hosted by our staff, access to support groups and peer-to-peer support.
