To slow the spread of COVID-19, M Health Fairview began moving several primary care clinics to a “virtual first” model on March 27. This has helped patients remain at home, while preserving critical personal protective equipment for providers who need it most.
The new care model leverages our 24/7 online clinic OnCare.org, as well as phone and video visits, to provide our patients with the same quality care they would receive during an in-person visit. Patients can meet with their provider virtually and receive a care plan from the comfort and safety of their own homes. While some clinics went virtual, others have remained open for those whose health concerns require an in-person visit.
Clinics that are virtual only as of Aug. 10 are:
Those who have an already-scheduled appointment will be contacted by their provider or clinic team for instructions. We’ll tell you whether your appointment will take place virtually or whether you should plan for an in-person visit at a different M Health Fairview clinic.
Those who need a new appointment should continue to call our appointment line as you normally would. Our team will help you schedule a virtual or in-person visit and provide you with the instructions you’ll need for your visit.
The impact of COVID-19 on our community continues to evolve. As we monitor the situation, we may transition additional clinics to protect our patients and care teams. We're grateful for your flexibility as we work together to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
