You’ll always remember the birth of your baby. Let us make it all you dreamed it could be.
The Birthplace at University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital offers a birthing experience like no other in the Twin Cities.
You and your baby will receive expert care in our beautiful, recently updated facility. We offer a variety of support options to make your labor and delivery more comfortable. University of Minnesota Health providers and partners have helped women give birth to tens of thousands of babies at The Birthplace, but we still view every pregnancy and birth as unique.
Amenities at The Birthplace include:
Our doctors, certified nurse midwives and care providers are implementing innovative ideas—such as tap blocks, birthing slings and “gentle Cesarean section” techniques—to make our deliveries more mom- and baby-friendly.
In 2016, our neonatology service ranked 30th in the nation, according to U.S. News & Report’s 10th annual “Best Children’s Hospital” ranking list. It is the ninth year in a row that University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital has earned a place among the best children’s hospitals nationwide—and the third year in a row that our neonatology program earned the highest ranking of any hospital or service in the state of Minnesota.
